Airport Transfers from Milan Bergamo Airport (BGY) to Verona

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: BGY to a hotel within walking distance of the Arena, the terminal to the Veronafiere entrance for a buyer's first appointment, or Porta Nuova station back to Orio al Serio. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. For a departure, the pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Orio al Serio to your Verona hotel, and the hotel back to BGY for the flight home. In April, during Vinitaly, and on the opera evenings from June to mid-September, cars in Verona are much in demand; reserve the drive back to BGY in the same booking. You choose both pickup times, and your confirmation shows them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at BGY, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Bergamo Airport to Verona: Route and Drive Time

Verona is 113 km east of Bergamo Airport, and almost the whole journey is on one road: the A4, which passes Brescia and runs south of Lake Garda before reaching Verona. The drive usually takes 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes.

Traffic on the A4 sets the time, particularly around Brescia at rush hour and on summer weekends near the lake exits at Desenzano and Sirmione. At the Verona end, the motorway exit for Verona Sud lies close to the Veronafiere grounds, roughly 2 km, so on a fair day the halls come first and the old town within the river loop a few minutes later.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Give the exact hotel or fair entrance with your flight number, especially in Vinitaly week.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Bergamo Airport

Buyers heading to Verona often choose Bergamo for its flights, and arrive with a sample case and a full agenda. The airport keeps the first step simple: one long terminal, arrivals for both Schengen and non-Schengen flights on the ground floor, and a single exit.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. On a route of well over an hour, a late landing shifts the whole drive, and the car shifts with it.

The terminal is currently being extended, with more check-in and non-Schengen space. None of that moves the arrivals hall, which remains on the ground floor.

Arriving at Your Hotel or the Fair in Verona

Piazza Bra and the old town enclosed by the loop of the river form a ZTL: electronic gates admit only certain users, and only at certain hours. Many hotels near the Arena and Via Mazzini are inside it; the fair district in the south and the area around Porta Nuova station are outside.

Across its 17 halls Veronafiere offers over 100,000 m² of exhibition floor, and on a big fair day the entrances are busy. Give the gate or hall when you book. On opera nights of the Arena festival, June to mid-September, crowds gather in Piazza Bra in the evening, so an evening arrival there takes longer.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For a hotel inside the ZTL, we will tell you the nearest point a car can reach.

From Verona Back to Bergamo Airport

Leaving Verona, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes to Orio al Serio, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.

Westbound, the A4 is slowest around Brescia in the evening peak and on summer Sundays, when lake traffic joins it near Sirmione and Desenzano. Choose the pickup with that margin. BGY has just one terminal building, and the drop-off is its upstairs departures level.

A stay can also end on Lake Garda. A hotel in Sirmione, close to the A4 and 42 km west of Verona, can be the pickup for your flight, and from there BGY is nearer than from Verona.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How long is the transfer from Bergamo Airport to Verona?

Verona is 113 km east on the A4, usually 1 hour 25 minutes to 1 hour 55 minutes. The motorway passes Brescia and the southern end of Lake Garda on the way.

Why would I fly into Bergamo for Verona?

For the flight. Verona Airport is only 13 km from the centre and is the natural choice, but some direct routes, many of them low-cost, land only at Bergamo. Book the car from whichever airport you land at.

Can the car take me straight to Veronafiere for Vinitaly?

Yes. The fair grounds are about 2 km from the Verona Sud motorway exit, so from Bergamo they come before the city centre. Give the gate or hall when you book.

My hotel is near the Arena. Can the car reach it?

The Arena stands in Piazza Bra, inside the ZTL that covers the old town within the river loop, with electronic gates. Send us the hotel address with the reservation, and we will tell you whether the car can reach the entrance or where the nearest drop-off point is.

Where do I meet the chauffeur at Bergamo Airport?

Every flight, Schengen or not, comes out through one door on the terminal's ground level. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet.

Can we spend the first nights on Lake Garda before Verona?

Yes. Make the hotel on the lake your destination; Sirmione lies 92 km from BGY, on the way to Verona. The move from Sirmione to Verona, 42 km, is then a separate booking on the day you choose.
