Florence Airport to Arezzo: Route and Drive Time
Arezzo is 95 km south-east of Florence Airport. The car joins the A1 near the airport, follows it around the western and southern edge of Florence, then runs down the Valdarno to the Arezzo exit. The drive usually takes 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes.
The A1 is Italy's main north–south motorway, and the section around Florence carries long-distance traffic as well as local commuters, so the first half-hour decides most of the range. Further south the road is usually steadier. From the Arezzo exit the city and the fair district are a short drive.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. For the fair, give the hall or entrance; for a hotel in the upper town, give its street, since the historic centre climbs the hill and is reached from different sides.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Florence Airport
A buyer flying in for OroArezzo usually has one aim on landing: to reach the fair halls without losing a morning. Florence Airport helps with that. Its single terminal spreads over two levels, and arrivals leave through one exit only, so there is just one place to meet.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. If the flight is late, the car to Arezzo moves with it instead of being fixed to the scheduled arrival.
Florence has approval for a new, longer runway, with building currently indicated for around summer 2027; the project is still being challenged in court. For travel in 2026 and early 2027, the terminal and the arrivals exit remain as they are today.

Arriving at Your Address in Arezzo
Electronic gates control two separate restricted areas in Arezzo's old centre, known as ZTL A and ZTL B. Hotels on the hill around Piazza Grande and the cathedral are inside them; hotels near the station, in Piazza della Repubblica at the foot of the old town, and in the newer districts are outside.
For fair guests, the address is Arezzo Fiere e Congressi on Via Spallanzani, outside the old town. The congress centre there has a main hall of 900 seats that can be divided into two rooms of 320 and 510. Give the entrance or hall your pass names, and the car goes to that side.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For a villa in the Casentino or the Valdichiana, add the house name and access road.

From Arezzo Back to Florence Airport
Leaving Arezzo, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 40 minutes to Florence Airport, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Northbound, the Valdarno section is usually steady and the delays come near Florence, where the A1 meets the junctions for the city and the A11 towards Peretola. Florence has one terminal, so the only detail the booking needs for the drop-off is your flight number.
If the trip ends with a night in Florence before flying, the transfer can go to your hotel there: Florence is 76 km from Arezzo, 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes by car. The airport run the next day is then 10 km.
