Getting Around Preveza
Preveza sits on a peninsula at the mouth of the Ambracian Gulf. The historic centre is a web of narrow lanes around the Saitan Bazaar market street, the seafront promenade runs along the water, and the marina is one of the largest on the Ionian coast. The airport is across the water at Aktio, linked to the town by the 1,570-metre Aktio–Preveza tunnel, the only undersea road tunnel in Greece.
Preveza has no railway: Epirus lies outside the national rail network. Guests arrive by air at Aktio, by road on the A5 Ionia Odos, or by sea into the marina.
Short trips lead out of town: Nicopolis, the Roman city, is 8 km north, and Lefkada town is 27 km south, beyond the tunnel. Either can be booked as a one-way or round trip; for a longer day, hourly service reserves one chauffeur and one vehicle for the hours you choose.
The old town is mostly narrow lanes, so give the hotel name as well as the street. Send the full street address when you book, and support will say how close to the hotel a car can get.

Airport Transfers in Preveza
Aktion National Airport is 7 km from the centre, on the other side of the tunnel. The drive usually takes 15–20 minutes. The airport operates mainly in the summer season. Depending on your airline and route, the alternative is Ioannina Airport, 104 km north on the A5 Ionia Odos: 1 hour 45 minutes to 2 hours 20 minutes by car.
On a run this short, the main delay is at the tunnel entrance on the Aktio side, where queues form at busy times, mostly in summer. Journey times vary with traffic and weather.
For arrivals, your chauffeur checks the flight status and times the pickup to when you actually land, and your booking confirmation shows where to meet the chauffeur. For a departure from Preveza, what counts is the length of the drive, not the time on the clock: 15–20 minutes from the centre to the airport, longer in heavy traffic. You set the pickup time yourself, and the confirmation shows it.

Long-Distance & Multi-City Travel from Preveza
Meteora, above Kalambaka, is 215 km north-east on the A5 Ionia Odos and the A2 Egnatia Odos, 3 hours 5 minutes to 4 hours 10 minutes by car. Patras is 153 km south on the A5, across the Rio–Antirrio bridge. When a week on the Ionian coast continues with a visit to Meteora or a meeting in Patras, a single booking takes you from your Preveza hotel to your next address, with the bags travelling in the same car.

Custom Solutions in Preveza
Some stays around Preveza have more than one base: a villa on Lefkada, a yacht at the Preveza marina, a few nights in Parga, 62 km up the coast. A programme like this can be set up as a series of transfers planned in advance: the airport to the marina, the marina to a hotel, and on to the ferry port at Igoumenitsa on the last day. Crew changes at the marina, with people landing on different flights, are arranged the same way.
When you book for other people, all their transfers can be kept in one account, each with its own booking and confirmation; when a crew or a family arrives on several flights, every arrival gets a transfer of its own. A Sprinter van takes up to 12 people with their bags; larger groups travel by coach, with up to 56 seats, chosen to fit the group and its luggage.
Book early for the first half of July, when the International Choral Festival brings choirs from around 45 countries: local vehicles and drivers are booked up early. If your plans go beyond a standard booking, write to support with the dates, addresses, number of passengers, flights and luggage, and the team will arrange it.
