Airport Transfers from Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI) to Soller

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: the terminal to a hotel facing the bay at Port de Sóller, the airport to a house in the orange groves outside the town, or Sóller back to PMI after a week walking in the mountains. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. For a departure, the pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Palma Airport to the Sóller valley when you land, and the town or the port back to PMI on the day you go home. The summer months and May, the month of Es Firó, are when the return deserves to be fixed at the start, because cars on this side of the Tramuntana are booked early. You choose both pickup times, and your confirmation shows them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at PMI, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Palma Airport to Sóller: Route and Drive Time

Sóller is 40 km by road from PMI, with the Serra de Tramuntana in between. After the Ma-19 and the Ma-20 ring road across the plain, the car heads north on the Ma-11 and passes under the Serra d'Alfàbia through the Sóller tunnel, about 3 km long and open since 1997. The drive usually takes 35–50 minutes.

Above the tunnel the Coll de Sóller pass still carries cars, but it is narrow and closed to heavy vehicles, so coaches always come through the tunnel. The mountain section, not the plain, decides how the time turns out, and in August the island's roads are slower all round.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Give the flight number when you book, and say whether you are staying in the town or down at the port: the two lie about 5 km apart, and the booking should name the right one.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Palma Airport

Flights from the rest of Europe mostly use module C of Palma's terminal and inter-island flights module B, yet all four modules share one building and one arrivals floor, Floor 0. Aena's meeting area sits in the centre of that floor, opposite the information office.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. Walkers with rucksacks and poles, or cyclists with bike boxes, should say so in the booking, so that the vehicle that comes for them already has the space.

The terminal is in the middle of a remodelling that runs through 2026 and 2027. The building stays open and arrivals use the same exit, though routes inside it shift as each section is finished.

Arriving in Sóller and Port de Sóller

The town lies inland among orange and lemon groves; Port de Sóller sits on the bay about 5 km away, and a tram has run between the two since 1913. In February 2026 the town centre, within the Ma-11 bypass, became a low-emission zone watched by plate-reading cameras around the clock, and only local and authorised vehicles may enter it. The seafront of Port de Sóller is a separate restricted-access area.

For a hotel inside either area, we will tell you the nearest point the car can reach. For a house in the valley or on the slopes towards Fornalutx, 4 km from the town, give the full address and the name of the property.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up.

From Sóller Back to Palma Airport

Leaving Sóller, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 35–50 minutes to PMI, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.

From a hotel in Port de Sóller, add the 5 km climb from the bay to the town before the tunnel. At PMI, departures have their own floor in the same building you arrived at, so the airline makes no difference to where you are set down.

If the last nights are in Palma, book the valley to your city hotel as the drop-off instead: 26 km, 30–40 minutes through the tunnel. The run from Palma to the airport on the day of the flight is then booked separately.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How far is Sóller from Palma Airport?

40 km. The car crosses the plain, takes the Ma-11 north and goes through the Sóller tunnel under the mountains; the drive usually takes 35–50 minutes, and Port de Sóller is about 5 km further on.

Does the transfer use the Sóller tunnel or the mountain pass?

The tunnel, about 3 km under the Serra d'Alfàbia and open since 1997, is the usual route. Heavy vehicles are barred from the narrow Coll de Sóller pass above it, so every coach goes through the tunnel.

Where do I meet my chauffeur at Palma Airport?

Palma has one terminal with four modules, and every arriving passenger comes out on the arrivals floor, Floor 0. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet.

What happens if my flight to Palma is late?

The pickup moves with it: the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time.

Can the car reach my hotel in the centre of Sóller?

Since February 2026 the town centre ringed by the Ma-11 bypass is a low-emission zone that admits only local and authorised vehicles, and the Port de Sóller seafront has its own restricted area. Give the full address when you book, and we will tell you the nearest point the car can reach.

Can you take a train from Palma to Sóller?

Yes. Sóller's heritage railway starts from Plaça d'Espanya in Palma, and the journey takes about an hour through 13 tunnels. From the airport there is no direct rail link, and the car goes straight to Sóller in 35–50 minutes.
