Airport Transfers from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport (AGP) to Sotogrande

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: the terminal to a villa beside one of the golf courses, the airport to an apartment on the marina, or the estate back to Málaga for a flight home. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. For a departure, the pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Málaga Airport to the estate, and the estate back to the airport on the last day. The International Polo Tournament plays its cups from late July to the end of August, and in those weeks cars around Sotogrande are committed long before the date, so the return journey belongs in the first booking. You choose both pickup times, and your confirmation shows them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at AGP, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Málaga Airport to Sotogrande: Route and Drive Time

Sotogrande is 106 km from Málaga Airport, the longest of the coastal runs from this terminal. The car stays on the AP-7 and A-7 the whole way, passing Marbella and then Estepona, and leaves the province of Málaga shortly before the estate: Sotogrande belongs to San Roque, in the province of Cádiz. The drive takes 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes.

That range reflects the length of the coast road more than any one bottleneck. Over 106 km, the traffic through the Marbella stretch and the summer volume in July and August both add up.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Give the flight number and the estate address in the same booking, with the villa name or the building by the marina: Sotogrande is spread over a wide area, and "Sotogrande" alone is not an address.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Málaga Airport

Málaga Airport handled 26.76 million passengers in 2025, and every arriving one of them leaves through the same arrivals level. The two terminals, T2 and T3, are joined into one building, so a flight to either gate area ends on floor 0: first the baggage reclaim hall, where Aena has an information desk, then the arrivals hall.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. On a route of 106 km that is the difference between a car ready at the hall and a new plan made after landing.

Golf bags and sailing kit travel as checked baggage like the rest; put them in the booking with the suitcases so that the vehicle is chosen for the full load before your flight leaves.

Arriving at Your Villa or Apartment in Sotogrande

Sotogrande is a large residential estate rather than a town: homes are villas on large plots, golf clubs, and apartment blocks by the port. The marina has 1,382 berths, the largest number in Andalusia. Among the courses are Real Club de Golf Sotogrande and Real Club Valderrama, host in 1997 of the first Ryder Cup staged in continental Europe.

A driver needs the villa name and number, the zone of the estate or the building at the port, and anything the owner gives you for the entrance. For a boat, name the berth or the pontoon, and for a first round on arrival, the club.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. If a property manager is handing over the keys, add their name and the time they expect you.

From Sotogrande Back to Málaga Airport

Leaving Sotogrande, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 50 minutes back to the AGP terminal, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.

In August, with the polo on and the coast at its busiest, allow for the upper end of that range. The drop-off is on the departures side, and check-in desks are on floor 1 of the terminal.

For a flight from Gibraltar the return is much shorter: 26 km, 35 to 45 minutes. Some guests fly in to Málaga and out from Gibraltar, or the other way round; each direction is simply booked from and to the airport in question.
