Ibiza Airport to Sant Antoni: Route and Drive Time
Sant Antoni is 22 km from Ibiza Airport, where the bay of Portmany ends on Ibiza's west coast. Because the terminal sits in the south-east corner of Ibiza and the town on the opposite shore, the car crosses the island: the EI-800 out of the airport, the EI-20 ring road round Ibiza Town and then the EI-600 west. The drive usually takes 25–35 minutes.
Most of the way is on the island's main roads. What changes the time is the summer traffic around Ibiza Town and the approach to the harbour at the end. Air traffic on Ibiza is concentrated between May and October, and summer Saturdays carry the largest share of group arrivals.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Give the flight number when you book, and the hotel's street as well as its name: the bay has hotels on both shores, and the booking should say which one.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Ibiza Airport
The terminal at Ibiza is compact. Baggage reclaim and the arrivals hall share its ground floor, and every flight, Schengen or not, leaves the hall through a single exit, so a group of friends on the same plane meets up in one place.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. On a summer Saturday, the day most parties arrive, that keeps the 22 km drive across the island tied to the time your plane actually touches down.
Aena's next changes at IBZ, a larger security checkpoint and a dedicated non-Schengen boarding zone, belong to its 2027–2031 programme and have no start date. They affect departures only; arriving passengers use the same hall and the same road west.

Arriving at Your Hotel in Sant Antoni
Life in the town centres on the harbour promenade, the Passeig de ses Fonts, where the town hall, tourist office and bus station stand a few steps apart. The West End, the bar quarter, lies a few streets back, and along the north shore the rocks of Ses Variades run to Caló des Moro, the sunset spot, about a kilometre north-east.
Vara de Rey, between the Passeig de Ponent and the old centre, became a pedestrian-priority boulevard in June 2026; only residents' and emergency vehicles may use it. For an apartment in the West End or a hotel off Vara de Rey, we will tell you the nearest point the car can reach. For a villa inland near Sant Josep, add the property name to the address.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up.

From Sant Antoni Back to Ibiza Airport
Leaving Sant Antoni, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 25–35 minutes to IBZ, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
On summer changeover weekends the road back across the island carries departures from the whole west coast. All airlines at IBZ use the one terminal building, and the drop-off does not depend on your flight.
If the week ends with a few nights in Ibiza Town, the drop-off can be a hotel there, 16 km from Sant Antoni, 30–45 minutes. The 7 km run from the town to the airport is then booked on its own for the day you fly.
