Airport Transfers from Innsbruck Airport (INN) to Solden

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Innsbruck Airport to a hotel on Sölden's main street, the terminal up to Hochsölden at 2,090 m, or a guesthouse in the village back down to the airport on departure day. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. For a departure, the pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: INN to your hotel in Sölden at the start of the glacier week, and the hotel back to the airport at its close. It is the return that gets tight, because on a winter Saturday the whole Ötztal leaves by the B186 while the airport handles its charter peak. You choose both pickup times, and both appear in your booking confirmation.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at INN, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Innsbruck Airport to Sölden: Route and Drive Time

Sölden is 85 km from Innsbruck Airport. The route runs west on the A12 Inntal motorway as far as the Ötztal exit, then climbs 38 km up the valley on the B186 to the village at 1,368 m. The whole drive usually takes 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes.

About half of the distance is motorway, and it rarely decides anything. The B186 does: it is the one road into the Ötztal, and Sölden, Obergurgl, Vent and the glacier skiers all depend on it. On a winter Saturday every arriving party is on it at the same hour, and that is where the upper end of the range comes from.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Sölden is long, so a hotel at the lower end of the village is reached a few minutes before one at the upper end, and Hochsölden adds its own climb.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Innsbruck Airport

A glacier week in Sölden often starts as a charter from a ski club or tour operator. Those are narrow-body jets seating up to about 200, so a single landing can put several coach-loads of skiers into the terminal at once. INN has only one passenger terminal, and every one of those skiers walks out into one arrivals area.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. A charter that is held on the ground at home and lands an hour late does not cost you the car.

On Saturdays in the season the airport limits its landing slots, and the arrivals hall is at its fullest. If you travel with boot bags and skis, collect them first.

Arriving at Your Hotel in Sölden

Sölden is strung out along the valley floor, so the address matters more than the village name. Most hotels stand along the village's through road, and the glacier roads start from Sölden and climb away from the valley floor. Hochsölden is different again: a separate cluster of hotels at 2,090 m, reached by its own road, not a street in the village.

For a chalet or apartment, give the house name as well as the street. Coming up from INN, the car enters the village at its lower end.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up.

From Sölden Back to Innsbruck Airport

Leaving Sölden, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.

The Timmelsjoch pass closes for the winter, so from late autumn until early summer the 38 km of the B186 down to the motorway are the only way out, and every departing guest in the valley shares them. Between 1 November and 15 April Austrian law requires winter tyres whenever conditions are wintry, and buses run on them all season whatever the weather.

If you prefer the train home, Ötztal Bahnhof at the valley entrance is the mainline stop, and a transfer down the valley to the station is booked like one to the airport.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How long is the transfer from Innsbruck Airport to Sölden?

The distance is 85 km: the A12 west to the Ötztal exit, then 38 km up the B186. The drive usually takes 1 hour 5 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes, and the valley road is slower on winter Saturdays.

What happens if my flight to Innsbruck is late?

The pickup moves with it: the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time.

Where will my chauffeur meet me at Innsbruck Airport?

In the arrivals area of INN's single passenger terminal. Charter and scheduled flights both come out there, so the meeting point does not depend on the airline.

Our hotel is in Hochsölden. Does the car go up there?

Hochsölden is a separate group of hotels at 2,090 m on its own road above the village. Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up.

Can a whole ski club with equipment travel together?

Yes, if the vehicle fits the load. Sprinter vans seat up to 12 passengers with luggage, and coaches are available in several sizes up to 56, with the skis and boot bags in the hold. Tell us the headcount and the equipment, and speak to support for anything unusual.

What do you need to know about the INN–Sölden route in 2026–2027?

In winter 2026–2027 the Timmelsjoch is closed for the season, so the B186 from the Ötztal exit is the only road to Sölden, and INN restricts slots on Saturdays. Book the Christmas-to-New-Year period and the winter Saturdays first.
