Airport Transfers from Naples International Airport (NAP) to Sorrento

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Naples Airport to a hotel on Corso Italia, the terminal to a villa in Sant'Agnello, or the airport to Marina Piccola for an afternoon boat to Capri. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. For a departure, the pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Naples Airport to your hotel in Sorrento on the day you land, and back to the terminal on the day you fly home. For a summer holiday, fixing the return with the arrival matters most, because in the high season local vehicles and drivers are booked early. You choose both pickup times, and your confirmation shows them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at NAP, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Naples Airport to Sorrento: Route and Drive Time

Sorrento is 52 km from Naples Airport. The car leaves Capodichino for the A3 motorway south along the bay, then turns off at Castellammare di Stabia onto the SS145, the road along the Sorrento peninsula. The whole drive usually takes 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes.

The motorway part goes quickly outside the Naples rush hours. The SS145 sets most of the time: it passes through Vico Equense and the towns before Sorrento, and in July and August the traffic on it is heavier. The route stays off the SS163, the Amalfi Coast road, which only starts beyond Sorrento.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. With your flight number, give the name and street of your hotel: several hotels sit on the hills above the town, and the right road depends on the address.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Naples Airport

At Capodichino every flight, whatever the airline or origin, arrives at the same terminal and comes out through the same exit.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. An evening flight that lands late still ends with a car at the arrivals exit, not a search for a taxi.

Check your flight before you book if you travel in November 2026. The airport is closed from 1 to 30 November 2026 for the runway rebuild, and flights move to other airports, mainly Salerno Costa d'Amalfi and Rome. The transfer distance to Sorrento then changes, so book from the airport you actually land at.

Arriving at Your Hotel in Sorrento

Most hotels in Sorrento stand on the clifftop around Piazza Tasso and Corso Italia; others are on the hills behind the town or down by the water. Between April and October the centre becomes a ZTL, a limited-traffic zone, controlled by four electronic gates.

For a hotel inside that zone, send the address with the booking and we will tell you how close the car can go. For a villa in Sant'Agnello or on the road towards Massa Lubrense, give the full address and any gate code or private road name you have from the owner.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. If your stay starts with a boat to Capri, Marina Piccola, the port below the town, can be the drop-off instead of the hotel.

From Sorrento Back to Naples Airport

Leaving Sorrento, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes to Naples Airport, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.

On a summer Saturday the SS145 carries changeover traffic in both directions, and a hotel on the hills adds a few minutes before the car reaches the main road. Choose the pickup time with that in mind.

If your holiday ends with a few days in Naples instead of a flight, the drop-off can be your hotel in the city. And if Capri is the last stop, a transfer from Marina Piccola after the boat back works in the same way as one from the hotel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How long is the transfer from Naples Airport to Sorrento?

By road the airport is 52 km from Sorrento: the A3 motorway first, then the peninsula road, the SS145. The drive usually takes 1 hour 10 minutes to 1 hour 35 minutes, and more on summer weekends.

Where will I meet my chauffeur at Naples Airport?

All flights use the same terminal and come out at the same exit. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet your chauffeur.

Is Naples Airport open in November 2026?

No. The airport is closed from 1 to 30 November 2026 for runway works, and most of its flights are redirected, above all to Salerno Costa d'Amalfi and to Rome. Book the transfer from the airport you actually land at: Salerno is 74 km from Sorrento.

Can the car reach my hotel in the centre of Sorrento?

It depends on the address and the season. Between April and October the centre is a ZTL with electronic gates. Send the hotel address with your booking, and we confirm whether the car can reach the entrance or where the nearest drop-off point is.

Can we visit Pompeii on the way from the airport to Sorrento?

Yes, as two bookings: a transfer from the airport to Pompeii and a second one from Pompeii to your hotel in Sorrento.

Can you take us straight from the airport to the Capri boats?

Yes. Enter Marina Piccola, Sorrento's port, as the destination, and add the boat's departure time. Boats to Capri take about 20–30 minutes from there.
