Airport Transfers from Alicante-Elche Miguel Hernández Airport (ALC) to Alicante

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: arrivals at Alicante-Elche to a seafront hotel, the terminal to the cruise quay at Muelle 14, or a flat by the Playa de San Juan back to the terminal. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. For a departure, the pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: the terminal to your hotel in Alicante on arrival, and the hotel back to Alicante-Elche on the day you leave. The return is the leg to settle first around the Hogueras in June, the IFA fairs in March and October and through the summer, when the city's cars and drivers fill up weeks ahead. You choose both pickup times, and your confirmation shows them.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at ALC, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Alicante Airport to Alicante: Route and Drive Time

Alicante-Elche Airport stands between El Altet and Torrellano, south-west of the city, and the drive to central Alicante is 10 km. The car takes the N-338 airport link, joins the A-70 ring road and enters the city from the south-west. In normal traffic the journey takes 15–25 minutes.

On a run this short the motorway hardly matters. The hour of the day does: the morning and evening peaks on the ring road, and the last few streets to the door. An address in the Casco Antiguo, under the castle hill, lies deeper in town than a hotel near the station, and the Playa de San Juan, about 9 km from the centre, adds a little more.

Journey times vary with traffic and weather. With the flight number, give the street and number of the hotel or apartment, not only its name.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Alicante Airport

Alicante-Elche has worked from a single passenger building since 2011, when the new terminal took over every flight from the older ones. All airlines and origins share one arrivals hall, beyond baggage reclaim.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. On a 10 km transfer the road is the short part of the arrival; the real landing time is what decides when you reach Alicante.

Aena has named Alicante-Elche for expansion in its 2027–2031 investment cycle, but the project is still at the design stage and no construction date is set. For arrivals in 2026 and 2027 the terminal works as it does today.

Arriving at Your Address in Alicante

Alicante's low-emission zone has three rings, and permanent restrictions apply only in the inner one: the Casco Antiguo, under the castle hill, between the Rambla de Méndez Núñez, Jaime II, Jorge Juan and Altamira. Only residents and people who own a home or garage there may drive in, and cameras read number plates at the entrances. For an address inside those streets, we will tell you the nearest point the car can reach.

Two more arrival points are in town. The cruise terminal is at Muelle 14 of the port, and the ferry terminal for Oran at Muelle 25, so name the ship or the sailing when you book. For travellers who continue by AVE, the main station, Alicante Terminal, sits in the centre.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up.

From Alicante Back to Alicante Airport

Leaving Alicante, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 15–25 minutes to Alicante-Elche, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.

Every flight leaves from the one terminal, so the airline does not change the drop-off. If the trip ends at an exhibition, IFA sits on the N-340 right beside the airport (A-7, exit 22): a last morning on the stand and the flight home can be two short transfers, hotel to IFA and IFA to the terminal.

For a cruise that ends its voyage in Alicante, the pickup can be the cruise terminal at Muelle 14 instead of a hotel. Put the ship's name on the booking.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How far is Alicante from the airport?

Central Alicante is 10 km from Alicante-Elche Airport. The car follows the N-338 and the A-70 ring road, and the drive usually takes 15–25 minutes; the hour of the day decides where in that range you arrive.

Where will I meet my chauffeur at Alicante Airport?

Alicante-Elche has a single terminal, and every airline's passengers reach the same arrivals hall once their bags are collected. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet.

What happens if my flight to Alicante is late?

The pickup moves with it: the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time.

Can the car take me to a hotel in Alicante's old town?

Access to the Casco Antiguo, below the Santa Bárbara castle, is limited to residents and owners of homes and garages, with camera control; the rest of the city has no permanent restriction. Give the complete street address when you book, and we will tell you how close the car can go.

Can you take us from Alicante Airport to the cruise terminal?

Yes. The cruise terminal is at Muelle 14 of the port of Alicante (ferries for Oran use Muelle 25). Give Muelle 14 as the destination and add the ship's name and boarding time to the booking.

How far is Benidorm from Alicante Airport?

Benidorm is 55 km from the terminal, a drive of 45 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes on the A-70 and AP-7. Murcia, in the other direction, is 75 km.
