Innsbruck Airport to Lech am Arlberg: Route and Drive Time
Lech am Arlberg is 120 km from Innsbruck Airport, 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes by car, and the furthest of the resorts that guests regularly reach from INN. The first part is motorway, the A12 and the S16 through the Inn valley to St. Anton. There the road climbs over the Arlberg Pass to Alpe Rauz, then runs through the gallery on the Flexen and across that second pass, down to Zürs and Lech.
The two passes set the time. In winter no other road leads in, because the route from Warth in the north is only open in summer, and Lech publishes a road status for each of the two passes, since one can be closed while the other is open. If the Arlberg Pass is shut, the car can take the S16 tunnel to the Lech/Zürs exit on the Vorarlberg side and climb from there to Alpe Rauz.
Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Add your hotel's name to the flight number when booking: a drive to Lech, Oberlech, Zug or Zürs ends in a different place each time.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Innsbruck Airport
For a Lech guest the airport is the start of a drive over two passes, so the quicker you are out of the terminal, the better. Innsbruck makes that easy. There is one passenger terminal, one arrivals area for every airline and no walk between buildings.
For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. Guests staying in Oberlech should give their hotel the flight details as well, because their cases are handed over at the Anger garage in Lech and sent up separately, and the hotel then knows when to expect them.
On a winter Saturday INN takes most of its week's ski traffic in a few hours. A booking made with the flight number keeps your car tied to your aircraft, not to the timetable.

Arriving at Your Hotel in Lech or Oberlech
Lech itself lies at 1,444 m on the valley floor, and hotels there are reached by road. Oberlech, on the plateau above, works differently: from December to April it is car-free. Cars end at the Anger garage in Lech, the luggage is handed in there and carried up, and guests take the cable car. For an Oberlech booking the transfer therefore finishes at the garage in Lech, not at the hotel.
Zug and Stubenbach, just outside Lech, and Zürs further up the road are separate addresses with their own approach. In Lech the decision on where vehicles may go belongs to the resort, and Oberlech is the clearest case of it.
Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. Name the hotel as well as the village: for Oberlech, the hotel name is what sends the car to the garage.

From Lech am Arlberg Back to Innsbruck Airport
Leaving Lech, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours 5 minutes to Innsbruck Airport, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
From Oberlech the morning starts with the cable car down to Lech, and the cases come down to the Anger garage, where the transfer begins; allow for that when you choose the time. On the road the Flexen and the Arlberg Pass come first, and on a winter Saturday the Flexen carries most of Lech's departures in the same few hours.
Some guests add a night in Innsbruck before flying home. The city lies 5 km from the airport, and that stay is booked as two transfers: Lech to a city hotel, then the hotel to the terminal on the day of the flight.
