Airport Transfers from Innsbruck Airport (INN) to Ischgl

One-Way Transfer
A one-way transfer covers one journey between two addresses: Innsbruck Airport to a hotel near the Silvrettabahn, the terminal to an apartment in Mathon, or Ischgl back to the airport when the ski week ends. For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. For a departure, the pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.
Round-Trip Service
Round-Trip Service books both directions in one reservation: Innsbruck Airport up the Paznaun to Ischgl on arrival day, and back down the valley to INN at the end of the week. Secure the return first, because on winter Saturdays the villages of the valley change their guests over the same 20 km of road. You choose both pickup times, and both appear in your booking confirmation.
Hourly Service
Hourly service keeps one chauffeur and one vehicle with you for a set number of hours. When you book, you set the start at INN, the final address and the hours you need, and you add the day's plan to the reservation so the chauffeur has it before your flight lands. It suits an arrival day with appointments, not a straight run to one hotel.

Innsbruck Airport to Ischgl: Route and Drive Time

The road distance from Innsbruck Airport west to Ischgl is 100 km, normally covered in 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. From the terminal the car takes the A12 up the Inn valley, carries on along the S16 and leaves it at the Pians exit. The final 20 km follow the B188, the Silvretta road, into the Paznaun.

Those 20 km account for most of the spread in the drive time. The motorway part is quick, but every hotel in the valley depends on that one road, and on a winter Saturday the guests who are leaving and the guests who are arriving use it in the same hours. In winter it is also the only approach: the Silvretta pass road to Vorarlberg is closed right through the winter.

Ischgl lies at 1,377 m on the valley floor, with Mathon about 3 km before it and Galtür further up. Journey times vary with traffic and weather. Name the hotel when you book: an address in Mathon or towards Galtür changes the last few kilometres.

Meeting Your Chauffeur at Innsbruck Airport

A group of friends bound for Ischgl usually lands on a Saturday, and so does much of the Alpine ski traffic. Innsbruck ranks among the three largest winter charter airports in Europe, and through the season its Saturday slots are restricted. What keeps the arrival simple is the building: one passenger terminal for arrivals and departures, and one arrivals area for every airline.

For arrivals, the chauffeur tracks your flight and plans the pickup around the real landing time. Your booking confirmation tells you where to meet, and the exact spot follows the airport's own pickup rules. If the charter comes in forty minutes late, the drive up to the Paznaun simply begins forty minutes later.

Put the flight number in the booking and tell us how many ski bags and board bags will come off the belt. For a party of friends that list matters more than the headcount.

Arriving at Your Hotel in Ischgl

Ischgl's centre is the Silvrettabahn valley station, and the village sets clear rules for vehicles around it. Its car parks open at fixed hours, and outside those hours stopping and parking are prohibited. The evening is stricter for larger vehicles: coaches and anything over 3.5 t may neither stop nor park after 20:00.

For a late group arrival this means the vehicle sets everyone down and then leaves the village again, so the luggage should come off quickly at the right place. Where a vehicle may stand in Ischgl is the municipality's decision, not the chauffeur's.

Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up. For an apartment in Mathon, or a guesthouse on the road towards Galtür, add the name of the house as well as the street, since the valley road passes many of them.

From Ischgl Back to Innsbruck Airport

Leaving Ischgl, the useful thing to know is how long the road takes, not when to leave: 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes to Innsbruck Airport, longer in heavy traffic. The pickup time you choose is confirmed with the reservation.

On a departure Saturday the whole Paznaun heads down the B188 in the same few hours, while new arrivals are coming up. Once the car reaches the Pians exit the motorway usually runs steadily. Every departure at INN leaves from its one terminal, whichever airline you fly.

Some guests finish with a night in Innsbruck before flying; their drop-off is a city hotel, 5 km from the airport. Guests who continue by train can be driven to Landeck-Zams, some 30 km down the road, with direct trains to Vienna, Zurich and Munich.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your airport transfer with Bookinglane.

How long is the transfer from Innsbruck Airport to Ischgl?

The distance is 100 km. The car takes the A12 and the S16 to the Pians exit, then drives 20 km up the Paznaun on the B188. Allow 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes; on winter Saturdays the valley road is the slow part.

Where do I meet my chauffeur at Innsbruck Airport?

In the arrivals area of the only passenger terminal. All airlines share one building and one arrivals area, which is where you and the chauffeur meet; your booking confirmation shows the exact spot.

Can the car drive into Ischgl in the evening?

The village sets the rules. Its car parks keep fixed hours with no stopping outside them, and after 20:00 coaches and anything heavier than 3.5 t are barred from stopping or parking. Give the exact address when you book, and your confirmation shows where the car will pull up.

Our group lands on different flights with a lot of ski equipment. How is that booked?

Each arrival is booked as its own transfer. Tell us how many skis, boards and boot bags travel on each flight, not only the number of people, and the vehicle is matched to the load.

Is the road to Ischgl open in winter?

Yes. The B188 from the Pians exit is kept open and is the only winter route, because the pass road over the Silvretta closes each winter. Between 1 November and 15 April Austrian law requires winter tyres whenever conditions are wintry, and buses run on them all season whatever the weather.

What do you need to know about Innsbruck Airport in 2026–2027?

In the 2026–2027 winter, as in earlier seasons, Innsbruck's Saturday slots are restricted and a week of ski arrivals lands within a few hours. For Ischgl, book the Saturday transfers early, with the flight number, because local vehicles and drivers are committed well ahead.
